How Can I Get Rid of Stretch Marks?

For many, stretch marks are an unavoidable part of life. Whether from physical changes during puberty, childbearing, or weight fluctuations, stretch marks are something most of us have experienced. While some may embrace these marks, if you feel uncomfortable with yours, there is no need to accept them as your body’s new normal. Fortunately, you can get rid of your stretch marks, and feel confident in your body once more.

Trust the ICON Lux 1540 Fractional Non-Ablative Laser

At Beaux Arts Institute of Plastic Surgery, we perform our stretch mark removal procedures with the ICON Lux1540 fractional non-ablative laser. This is the only laser approved by the FDA for the purpose of removing stretch marks. By using short pulses of micro-fine laser light to reach into the skin’s sublayers, the treatment stimulates the body’s natural healing processes to flush out the damaged tissues, rebuilding with fresh collagen and elastin. This new collagen will ultimately smooth the stretch mark and reduce its appearance.

What Will Happen During the Procedure?

Fortunately, stretch mark removal is fairly straightforward. Although the length of time will vary depending on the area being treated, some treatments can be completed in as little as 30 minutes. As for pain, the amount of pain you feel will vary from person to person, but, as a general rule, our clients report feeling minimal discomfort and can return to normal activities as soon as their appointment is over. That said, you may need multiple treatments in order to achieve the final, improved look you are seeking.

Although there may be some redness, itching and swelling after the procedure, this will resolve within a few days.

Let Beaux Arts Institute of Plastic Surgery Remove Your Stretch Marks The ICON Lux1540 fractional non-ablative laser is approved for a variety of skin types and colors. If you have questions about whether this procedure is right for you, the best way to find out is to call our office and schedule a consultation.
