What is Rhinoplasty?
A rhinoplasty, or nose surgery, is performed for many reasons; most commonly, to improve the harmony between the nose and the rest of the face. Nose surgery can also improve breathing by widening the nasal passages inside the nose (a septorhinoplasty).
So if you are unhappy with the size and shape of your nose, give Beaux Arts Institute of Plastic Surgery a call. We will show you our gallery of nose surgery before and after pictures so you can have an idea of the work that we do, and we’d be happy to discuss nose surgery prices with you as well.

How is Rhinoplasty Performed?
The external nose is comprised of several parts: the dorsum (or bridge), the tip and the nostrils. A nose job addresses one or all of these areas to improve the appearance of the nose. Nose surgery is a routine outpatient procedure, lasting approximately three hours. Your surgeon will make an incision either through the base of the nose or through the nostrils to re-contour the nose. She will then re-shape the nose structure to achieve the desired results.
How Do I Know if Rhinoplasty is Right for Me?
A rhinoplasty is most often a cosmetic procedure, perfect for those who want to get rid of a bump or make their nose more proportional to their face. If you are having nose surgery to improve breathing or to repair a nose that was broken in the past, however, the procedure may be covered by your insurance carrier. Ultimately, a nose job should preserve the essential functions of your nose: breathing, sinus drainage and smell. And rest assured, your nose will not look exactly like someone else’s. What Type of Post-Operative Nose Surgery Care Can I Expect?
Recover following nose surgery typically lasts two weeks. You will have a nasal splint and nasal packing placed while you are still asleep. The packing will be removed in three days. The nasal splint will be removed in one week. While you are healing, you should avoid strenuous activity or any activities where you could hit or injure your nose.
